Detail Itinerary
This is full two days program where you will enjoy the drive along the Wangdue and Punakha Valleys, walk around few villages and visit small community based monasteries. Dine with the locals and discover the way of Bhutanese rural life, get on the bike and enjoy the stunning view of Wangduephodrang and Punakha Fortresses, get blown by the famous Wangdue wind on a hot biking summer and enjoy the picnic lunch when ever and where ever you want!

Day 1
Pick up from Aiprort/Thimphu Hotel

Dochu La Pass

Our SUV car with driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Paro, Thimphu or Paro International Airport. From airport, its 1.5 hours drive until Thimphu and 2.5 hours drive from thimphu till Wangdue. You will visit the attractions of Paro in the latter stage of your tour program in Bhutan
En-route you will visit Dochula Pass, the highest point on this highway. There are 108 small stupa sorrounding the main sacred stupa from which you can enjoy the 360 degree view of Himalayan ranges that included Gangkar Puensum, Gangchen Tag, Table mountain etc...This is also the place where Druk Wangyel Festival is held in Winter every year.
Picnic Lunch at Royal Botanical Garden
Botanical Garden, Lamperi
Lamperi Botanical Garden is a small quaint Botanical Garden that froms the biological corridor between Jigme Singye Wangchuk National Park and Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Park. Rhododendron Festival is held here at the park every spring when Rhododedrons bloom. You will find 46 species of Rhododendrons on site and if you are a nature lover you can enjoy

3. Dochula Nature Trail (1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi));

One popular attraction enroute to Wangdue is Chimmi Lhakhang, as you descend down from Dochula Pass towards Wangdue. The region is blessed by the visit of Lam Drukpa Kuenley who later then married a woman from the region. Lam Drukpa Kuenley also known as the Divine Mad Man has some carzy way of teaching and enlightening the sentients some of which you can actually see at Chimmi Lhakhang
On the way to Ecolodge, somewhere by the river side or Hilltop
You will drive on to Wangdue Ecolodge located below Rubesa Gewog Center, near the Wangduephodrang Windmill, opposite to Wangduephodrang Fortress. Check out the sign board on the way or otherwise, follow the map on the given link

From the parking lot, start on the rough road, climb up until Nezergang Monastery. The road is paved and smooth from half way till the end.

Visit Radak Lhakhang and get the blessings. The native get belssings for new born, and seek help if you are on a mission or to a competition
